About Me
Hi! I’m Maria Perez, an aspiring School Psychologist passionate about empowering youth to break barriers, embrace their strengths, and thrive with purpose.

My Mission
Rooted in my Latina heritage and lived experiences, I believe true impact goes beyond addressing underprivileged youth, whose challenges are often directly linked to socioeconomic status. I aim to expand that focus further to include emotional, cultural, and generational factors that shape every child’s potential and self-belief. To me, underprivileged means more than economic struggle; it also includes emotional neglect, lack of representation, limited access to mentorship, and the weight of cultural and generational barriers. These often overlooked challenges shape how young people see themselves and what they believe they can become. My mission is to meet youth where they are emotionally, culturally, and personally. Through mentorship, advocacy, and intentional program development, I strive to light the path for youth to discover their potential and build meaningful futures. I am committed to helping them realize they are more than what they have been exposed to. By nurturing emotional intelligence, I aim to shift their inner dialogue from doubt to confidence so they do not just believe in their worth but radiate it.
